Participation and Platform for Trade

The conclave brought together over 30 exporters, 9 importers, and around 50 Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), providing a platform for business-to-business interactions. The event enabled stakeholders to explore trade opportunities, develop long-term partnerships, and expand both domestic and international market reach.

Speaking at the event, Assam’s Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture and Excise, Atul Bora, highlighted the region’s rich portfolio of GI-tagged and organically produced products. He emphasized the importance of aggregation, certification, infrastructure, and global market access to make Assam’s products competitive while supporting sustainable livelihoods for farmers.

Ms. Aruna Rajoria, IAS Commissioner and Secretary-cum-Agriculture Production Commissioner, stressed the need for strong market linkages to promote Assam’s globally sought-after agricultural products.
